Great Grandfather, John Radde, was the first Radde to Auctioneer and sell Real Estate back in Carver County, Minnesota, in 1886. At Auctions, he sold the possessions of the new immigrants that were arriving by boat on the Minnesota River. The money raised was used to pay for their rail or stagecoach fare to the land that they had obtained through the Homestead Act.

Great Grandfather Radde also sold the Real Estate given to Civil War soldiers, who had received land as payment for their services in the Civil War. In this way, the soldiers obtained much needed cash.

These traditions, as Auctioneers and Realtors, have continued with my grandfather, Fred W. Radde; my father, Fred W. Radde Jr.; my brother, Fred W. Radde III; and myself, John J. Radde. My sons, Carl J. Radde, Jason Radde, and James Radde, are the fifth generation of Radde's to provide these services to the public.
